Police earn facile win over Rahmatganj MFS 

DHAKA, Feb 3, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Police Football Club returned to winning streak in the Bangladesh Premier League football when they blanked Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-0 goals in a match held today (Saturday) at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

In the proceeding, Kyrgyzstan defender Almazbek Malikov and another foreign midfielder Mateo Palacios scored one goal each for Police FC who led the first half by 1-0 goal.

Almazbek Malikov opened an account scoring the first goal for Police FC in the 22nd minute from a penalty while after the breather Mateo Palacios doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Police FC in the 72nd minute of the match.   

Police FC dominated the entire proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Rahmatganj MFS were totally off-colored.

With the day's win, Police Football Club moved to third position in the league table with 12 points from eight matches while the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj MFS remained at their previous credit of five points playing seven matches.
