TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Dec 2, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, MP today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

After laying the wreath, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, he offered doa seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

A special prayer was also offered wishing for longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.

Jubo League Central Leader Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nayeem, newly elected President of Gopalganj District Awami League Mahabub Ali Khan, General Secretary GM Sahabuddin Azam, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Awami League President Kazi Liaquat Ali Leku, General Secretary Abu Siddique Sikdar, Gopalganj Municipal Awami League President Golam Kabir and General Secretary Alimuzzaman Bitu, among others, were present.
