BARISHAL, Dec 1, 2022 (BSS) - Chittagong Hill Tracts Accord Implementation and Monitoring Committee Convener Abul Hasnat Abdullah, MP, today said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been acclaimed across the world for ensuring justice for general people within quickest possible time.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has been acclaimed across the world for ensuring justice for the common people within a quickest possible time along with ensuring the rule of law in the country," he said.
 
Hasnat said this while exchanging views with local lawyers at Seral of Agailjhara Upazila in the district, said an official handout here.

The court issued an ordinance for using information technology to continue the judicial services for the people during the corona epidemic, he said.

Noting that one of the successes of the present government is completing the trial of major war criminals, Hasnat said, "The current government has set an example of establishing justice across the world by bringing the people accused for heinous offense like crimes against humanity under the trial". 

Speaking about the lawyers' role in the historic events of the country, he said lawyers of greater Barishal had a glorious role in the historic 6-Point Movement, great Language Movement, Liberation War and other mass movements.

People from all walks of life, including lawyers from the country's southern region, took part in the great Liberation War organized under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Hasnat said. 

He urged all the pro-Liberation War lawyers under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina forgetting all differences for the overall development of Barishal court and the public welfare.
