GENEVA, Dec 1, 2022 (BSS/AFP) - A record $51.5 billion is needed for aid next
year, the UN said Thursday, as conflicts, climate emergencies and the still-
simmering pandemic push more people into crisis, including some towards
famine.

"Next year is going to be the biggest humanitarian programme" the world has
ever seen, the United Nations' aid chief Martin Griffiths told reporters in
Geneva.
