MUNSHIGANJ, June 23, 2021 (BSS) – A 25-year old Chinese engineer who was working under the Padma Bridge project has reportedly been missing since last night (Tuesday) from his workplace.
 
The law enforcement agencies and his fellow workers, however, fear that the engineer might have drowned in the river when he was on duty. The engineer named Zoe disappeared at around 8:30 pm.
 
“The missing engineer rarely came to the riverbank by a boat from his workplace as he worked in a shed at the middle of the river close to Shimulia ferry ghat under Louhajang upazila in the district,” said Sirajul Kabir, in-charge inspector of Mawa police camp.
 
The engineer was engaged in construction works of national grid electricity tower at the middle of the mighty Padma river under the project.
 
Coast guard and member of the Mawa river police are carrying out search in different points of the river.
