DHAKA, Oct 28, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League's (AL's) science and technology sub-committee held a preparatory meeting to organize an international conference titled 'Fourth Industrial Revolution for Emerging Future'.
 
The meeting was held at the Council Hall of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in the capital on Thursday night, said a press release.
 
Chairman of the subcommittee Professor Dr Md Hossain Mansur presided over the meeting while member secretary of the committee, AL's science and technology affairs secretary M Abdus Sabur moderated it.
 
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) Dr Habibur Rahman, and Vice-Chancellor of Kurigram Agricultural University Dr Zakir Hossain, among others, were present. 
 
President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Saifur Rahman presented the keynote paper. 
 
Vice-Chancellor of BUET Dr Satya Prasad Majumder, Bangabandhu Chair of Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP, among others, were present. 
 
So far, 648 papers and posters have been submitted. It was informed that more than 100 papers have been submitted by researchers from various renowned technology institutes and universities in America, Canada, Japan, Australia, European Union, China, India, and South Korea. 
 
Awami League Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur reviewed the preparatory activities for organizing the international conference and provided guidance on the online registration process, paper and poster management, coordination of international speakers, live broadcast through social media, journal and archive management.
