GENEVA, Oct 26, 2022 (BSS/AFP) - Methane concentrations in the

atmosphere registered their biggest-ever increase in 2021 as all three main
greenhouse gases extended their record highs, the United Nations said
Wednesday.

     The UN's World Meteorological Organization recorded the biggest year-on-
year jump in methane concentrations since systematic measurements began
nearly 40 years ago, and said the "reason for this exceptional increase is
not clear, but seems to be a result of both biological and human-induced
processes".
