DRU, DUJ BSS unit mourn death of Hafizunnessa

  DHAKA, Aug 2, 2021 (BSS) - Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) and BSS unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Hafizunnessa, mother of BSS Chief News Editor and DUJ's (one faction) BSS unit chief AZM Sajjad Hossain.
 
  In a condolence message, DRU President Mursalin Nomani and General Secretary Mosiur Rahman Khan prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
 
  DUJ's BSS unit deputy chief Tanvir Aladin expressed deep shock at the death of Begum Hafizunnessa, wife of late Dr MA Kashem, a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and former MP.
 
  He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
 
  DUJ's (a faction) BSS unit chief Ziaur Rahman Modhu and deputy unit chief Md Fazlul Haque expressed deep shock at the death of Hafizunnessa.
 
  They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of her bereaved family.
 
  Hafizunnessa, former president of the then Madaripur subdivision Mohila Awami League, breathed her last on Sunday evening at her second son's residence in the city at the age of 87.
 
  She left behind six sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
 
  Her physician husband late MA Kashem was a former Member of Parliament (MP), Member of the then National Assembly (MNA) from a constituency of the then Madaripur (now Shariatpur), Liberation War organiser and Awami League leader.
 
  Three of her sons and the daughter are physicians by profession while her third son Professor Dr AZM Mostaque Hossain Tuhin is the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Rajshahi Medical University (RMU).
