DHAKA, August 1, 2021 (BSS) - Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today urged all to work for the helpless people to materialize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"Bangabandhu's lifelong sacrifice will be successful only when we can do something for the helpless people. Blood donation for helpless people is a great opportunity for us to implement Bangabandhu's dream. Donating blood to helpless and dying people is a humanity,” he said.

The Industries Minister said this while addressing the inaugural function of the voluntary blood donation program at Ekushey Television Limited office on the occasion of mourning August 2021 to commemorate the sacrifice of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said a press release.

Ekushey Television Limited CEO Pijush Bandyopadhyay presided over the inaugural function while Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Sharfuddin Ahmed participated as the special guest.

Humayun said that August is a sad month for all the people of Bangladesh, this month Ekushey Television's blood donation program is a great initiative.
