DHAKA, July 31, 2021 (BSS) - Mobile courts in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) have fined Taka 1.66 lakh and filed cases against owners of 13 houses for getting Aedes mosquito larvae during an anti-dengue campaign.

A total of seven mobile courts led by DSCC executive magistrates Mahfuzul Alam Masum, Mohammad Alamgir Hossain,  Touhiduzzaman Pavel, Morshed Bhuiyan, Shaheen Reza, Kazi Hafizul Amin and Bikash Biswas conducted the drives, said a press release.
 
The mobile courts raided 214 buildings, houses and establishments under construction at that time and found mosquito larvae in 13 buildings and houses.

A total of 13 cases were filed as magistrates realized  Tk 1.66 lakh as fines.

During the drives, various awareness campaigns were carried out and people were encouraged  to follow health guidelines and remain vigilant to destroy the larvae of Aedes mosquito.
