DHAKA, Sept 28, 2022 (BSS) - Enamul Haque, former Principal Information Officer (PIO) of Press Information Department (PID), passed away on Tuesday while undergoing treatment in the city's United Hospital.

He was 90.

Haque is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters and a host of friends, relatives, well wishers and admirers.

BCS Information Association President S.M Golam Kibria and Secretary General Munshi Jalal Uddin today expressed their deep shock and sorrow at the death of Enamul Haque.

In a condolence message, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to their bereaved family members.

In his career, Enamul Haque served as a Principal Information Officer, Director General (DG) of Department of Film and Publications, Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television and Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commissions in London and Delhi.
