DHAKA, July 31, 2021 (BSS)-Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.

 "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued here.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.

The highest temperature yesterday was recorded 33.1degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division while today's minimum temperature was recorded 25.0 degrees Celcius jointly at Sandwip, Sitakunda, Rangamati, Cumilla and Teknaf in Chattogram division.

Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 90 millimeters (mm) at Khepupara in Barishal division.

The sun sets at 6:43 pm today and rises at 5:28 am tomorrow in the capital.
