DHAKA, June 22, 2021 (BSS) - Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said a decision on holding this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School (HSC) exams will be taken soon.
The education minister said this while addressing a virtual programme on distributing stipends and tuition fees among 4.3 million students on Tuesday, said a press release.
She also advised the students not to be worried about SSC and HSC examinations
"We know that SSC and HSC candidates are very worried but the students don’t need to be worried for long, you would be informed about this soon," she said.
Stipends and tuition fees of more than Tk 1,078.92 crore were distributed among the secondary and higher secondary students from January to June this year, she said.
The education minister said the money would reach the students directly through EFT under the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust's integrated stipend program.
Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury was present at the ceremony as the special guest.
Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Department Md Aminul Islam Khan were present, among others.
