BFUJ pays tribute to Bangabandhu at Tungipara mausoleum

DHAKA, Aug 6, 2022 (BSS)  -  The present and former leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) today paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj district by placing a floral wreath.

BFUJ president Omar Faruque and secretary general Dip Azad led the program when former presidents Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Abul Kalam Azad,  Managing Director and Chief Editor of BSS, and Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, former secretary generals M Shahjahan
 Miah and Abdul Jalil Bhuyian and former president of Jatiya Press Club and editor of the daily Jugantor Saiful Alam, among others, were present.

  Later, the journalist leaders offered Fateha seeking divine blessings for the departed souls of Father of the Nation and his family members who embraced martyrdom on August 15, 1975. 

Besides, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) led by its president Sohel Haider Chowdhury and general secretary Akter Hossain paid tributes to Father of the Nation. 

BFUJ's other affiliated unions, including Jashore Union of Journalists, Kushtia Union of Journalists and Brahmanbaria Union of Journalists also joined the program.

Earlier, leaders and members of Jatiya Press Club led by its president Farida Yasmin paid tributes to Father of the Nation.
