DHAKA, July 22, 2021(BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

  Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, said a Met Office release here today.

  The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends upto North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

  Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 35.5 degree Celsius at Tetulia and minimum temperature today was recorded by 24.2 degree Celsius at Tangail.

   Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four till 6:00am today was recorded by 27 millimeters (mm) jointly at Sylhet and Satkhira.
