DHAKA, May 17, 2022 (BSS) - Professor Abdur Rashid Mujumdar, former president of Hajiganj upazila unit of Awami League (AL) and former Chairman of Hjiganj Upazila Parishad of Chandpur district, died at his own residence in Hajiganj on Monday.

He was 67.

Majumder is survived by his only son and a host of relatives, well wishers and admirers.

In a message of condolence today, Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed his deep shock and sorrow at the death of Professor Abdur Rashid Mujumdar.

The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
