95,715 patients recover from Covid-19 in Rajshahi

   RAJSHAHI, Nov 27, 2021 (BSS) - With the recovery of fourteen patients from

Covid-19 on Friday, the total recovery count in the division rose to 95,715,
since the pandemic began in March last year.

   Three more people have tested positive for the deadly virus in two
districts of the division during the same period, raising the caseload to
99,320 so far.

   The new positive cases show a significant falling trend compared to the
previous day's figure, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of
Health, adding that a total of 22 people were infected on Thursday.

  The death toll remained steady at 1,680, including 685 in Bogura, 323 in
Rajshahi with 204 in its city and 175 in Natore as no new fatality was
reported during the last 24 hours , Dr Talukder added.

   Besides, all the positive cases of Covid-19 have, so far, been brought
under treatment while 23,086 were kept in isolation units of different
dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine.

  Of them, 19,736 have been released. Meanwhile, two more people have been
sent to home and institutional quarantine afresh, while five others were
released from isolation during the same time.

   Of the three new cases, two were detected in Bogura, followed by one in
Pabna district.

  With the newly detected patients, the district-wise break-up of the total
cases now stands at 28,209 in Rajshahi including 22,766 in its city, 5,687 in
Chapainawabganj, 6,443 in Naogaon, 8,411 in Natore, 4,676 in Joypurhat,
21,707 in Bogura, 11,417 in Sirajganj and 12,770 in Pabna.

   A total of 1,14,502 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since
March 10 last year to prevent community transmission of the deadly
coronavirus (COVID-19).

   Of them, 1,13,360 have, by now, been released as they were given clearance
certificates after completing their 14-day quarantine.
