DHAKA, Sept 24, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid today inaugurated a daylong programme titled 'Sharat Utsab-1428' at the open stage of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy here.

  Satyen Sen Shilpigosthi organised the event to celebrate the third season in Bengali calendar 'Sharat' (Autumn) with the collaboration of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, a press release said.

  With Satyen Sen Shilpi Gosthi vice-president, prominent writer and researcher professor Nigar Chowdhury in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by General Secretary of Bangladesh Abritti Somonnoy Porishod Ahkam Ullah.

   Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president Golam Quddus gave the welcome speech on the occasion while Satyen Sen Shilpi Gosthi General Secretary Manjar Chowdhury Suite conducted it.

   Artistes from different cultural organisations will perform songs, dances, recitations and others at the programme.

  Satyen Sen Shilpigosthi has been organising the festival 'Sharat Utsab' for the last 15 years.
