DHAKA, Sept 17, 2021 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by
temporary gusty wind may occur at different parts of the country in the next
24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal,
Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi
and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated
places over the country," the met office said in a 24-hour weather forecast
commencing at 9 am today.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly
unchanged over the country, it said.
The maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at
Sayedpur in Rangpur division and today's minimum temperature 24.1 degrees
Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 23
millimeters (mm) at Bogura in Rajshahi division.
The sun sets at 6:00 pm today and rises at 5:46 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
