CHATTOGRAM, Nov 20, 2023 (BSS)- Mohammad Abdul Motin, father of senior journalist of Chattogram Rafiqul Bahar, died of old-age complications at his village home in Noahkhali district this morning.

He was 86.

Motin left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

He will be buried at his Laotali village family graveyard under Begumgonj upazila after Asr prayers.

In separate condolence messages, Chattogram Press Club president Salauddin Md Reza, general secretary Debdulal Bhowmik, Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ) president Tapan Chakrabarti, general secretary Shamsul Islam, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalist (BFUJ) vice-president Shahidul Alam, Chattogram TV Journalist Association president Nasir Uddin Tota and BFUJ joint secretary general Mohsin Kazi expressed deep shock at the death of Motin.

They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
