DHAKA, Jan 29, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Former Vice-President of Rangpur District Awami League Eliyas Ahmed. 
 
In a condolence message, Quader prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. 
 
Advocate Eliyas Ahmed, also a valiant freedom fighter, passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Rangpur on Saturday night at the age of 73. 

He left behind his wife, two children and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
