DHAKA, Dec 20, 2022 (BSS)- Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Boalmari upazila parishad chairman and valiant freedom fighter Md Nurul Alam.

In a condolence message, the minister said the contribution of Nurul Alam to Liberation War following Bangabandhu's ideology will be remembered forever.

Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Nurul Alam, a former vice president of Sir Asutosh College Unit Chhatra League and general secretary of Boalmari upazila unit Awami League, died of old-age complications at his Boalmari residence in Chattogram in the afternoon at the age of 70.

He is survived by wife, two daughters, relatives and admirers.
