DHAKA, Aug 12, 2021 (BSS) – Special doa and munajat will be held at all mosques across the country after Johr prayers on August 15 marking the National Mourning Day and the 46th death anniversary and of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Apart from this, special prayers will be arranged in places of worship of other religions in the country as per their respective rituals at their convenient time, said a release issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs here today.
“This special doa-munajat and prayers will be held seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of all the martyrs and the martyrs of Bangabandhu family, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, who were brutally assassinated on the black night of August 15 in 1975,” said the release.
At the same time, doa and prayers will be held seeking welfare of the nation as well as the country and quick recovery from the pandemic situation and safety of all the people across the globe, including Bangladesh, from COVID-19 outbreak, it added.
The ministry has requested khatibs, imams and devotees of all the mosques and the concerned persons of places of other religious worships to make necessary arrangements in this regard following mandatory health guidelines and maintaining social distancing.
