RANGPUR, Oct 5, 2022 (BSS) - Six fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 17 samples at the 35.29 percent positivity rate in Rangpur division on Tuesday in Rangpur division.
 
Health officials said the number of diagnosed fresh Covid-19 cases is showing a rising trend again in the division in recent weeks.
 
"With the diagnosis of the six fresh cases, the number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,893 in the division," said Divisional Deputy Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,494 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
 
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,291 as no new death was reported during the period.
 
Meanwhile, more 25,831 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Tuesday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 26 lakh 86 thousand and 971 doses in the division.
 
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,37,20,004 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,32,41,431 as the second doses and 57,25,536 as the booster doses," Dr. Rahman said.
