RAJSHAHI, Sept 30, 2022 (BSS) - A team of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested an alleged drug-trafficker with one kilogram of heroin in the district this afternoon.
 
DNC sources said the arrested person was identified as Khademul Islam, 45, son of Masgar Ali of Mahishalbari area under Godagari Upazila of the district.
 
On a tip-off, a DNC team conducted a sudden raid in his house around 3.30 pm and recovered the heroin after searching the bedroom. The team members also arrested him from the house. 

DNC Inspector Parveen Akter told BSS that the person was involved in drug-trading and trafficking for a long time.

A case was recorded with Godagari Police Station in this connection and the arrested person along with the seized contraband item was handed over to police.
