RANGPUR, Sept 4, 2022 (BSS) - Another fresh Covid-19 case was diagnosed
after testing 18 new samples at the 5.56 percent positivity rate in Rangpur
division on Saturday.

 Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation is showing an
improving trend during the past few weeks across the division.

 "With the diagnosis of the one fresh case, the total number of Covid-19
patients rose to 64,888 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr.
Abu Md. Zakirul Islam said today.

 The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,106 as
no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.

 The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was
reported during the period.

 Meanwhile, more 5,969 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Saturday
raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 10 lakh 46 thousand
and 647 doses in the division.

 "Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,11,296 doses were
inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,23,568 as the second doses and 44,11,783
as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
