BHOLA, July 28, 2021 (BSS) –   A number of 176  more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 236 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.

 
Among the new positive cases, 102 are in Sadar upazila, 28 in Borhanuddin upazila, 12 in Lalmohan upazila, 13 in Charfashion upazila, nine in Tajumuddin upazila and 12 in Daulatkhan upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman, told BSS this afternoon.

Meanwhile, a total of 40 patients recovered from COVID-19 during this period.

The total number of infected people in the district stood at 3,400 while the number of recovery cases at 2,292, the civil surgeon said.

A total of 30 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.

Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman   said infected 58 persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.

The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.

He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
