BOGURA, Aug 8, 2022 (BSS) - The 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was celebrated today in the district with due respect.
 

On the occasion of birth anniversary, the district administration, district police, Sadar upazila administration, Bangabandhu Parishad and different organizations placed wreaths on Bangamata's portrait of the Deputy Commissioner's office in the district this morning.

The district administration organized a discussion in observance of the 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Ziaul Haque addressed the discussion as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Masum Ali Baig in the chair.

Superintendent of Police Sudep Kumar Chakraborty, District Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Majnu, General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Zila Parishad Administrator Dr. Md Maqbul Hossain and Jail Superintendent Munir Ahmed, among others, were present on the occasion.

 On the occasion of birth anniversary, a total of 92 sewing machines were given to destitute women in the district. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Ziaul Haque handed over the sewing machine to the beneficiaries.

Beside, the district Awami League, organised a discussion and doa mahfil, held at the district Awami League party office.
