RANGPUR, Aug 5, 2022 (BSS) – One fresh Covid-19 case was diagnosed and 18 more infected patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today in Rangpur division.
 
Health officials said the only new Covid-19 positive case was reported after testing 56 new samples at the positivity rate of 1.79 percent.
    
“With the diagnosis of the one fresh case, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,860 in the division,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam told BSS today.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,071 with the healing of 18 more patients during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today in the division.
 
The number of casualties remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours.     
 
Meanwhile, more 27,243 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Thursday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore seven lakh 88 thousand and 271 doses in the division.

 “Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,35,70,747 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,29,84,901 as the second doses and 41,32,623 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
