JAIPURHAT, May 13, 2022 (BSS) - A minor boy was killed and his maternal

grandfather injured in a lightning strike at Sreepur village under Kalai
Upazila here this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Hridoi, 12.

Officer-in-Charge of Kalai Thana Moinuddin said Hridoi and his grandfather
were struck by the thunderbolt this afternoon when they were fishing in a
pond during rain.

They were taken to Kalai Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor
declared him dead, the OC added.
