RAJSHAHI, Feb 25, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in

an anti-crime operation arrested an alleged drug peddler with 50 kilograms of
ganja from a place in the district last night.

   The arrested was identified as Rafique Islam, 44, son of late Jalil Islam
of Naopara village under Choddogram upazila in Cumilla district, RAB sources
said here today.

   On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Trimohani
Bazar area in Puthiya upazila in the district around 8:30 pm and arrested
Rafique with the hemp after searching a passengers coach, the sources added.

   Later, the arrested with the seized contraband goods was handed over to
the police today.

   A case was filed with Puthiya Police Station in this connection.
