NARAIL, Nov 30, 2021 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced a man to death
and three others to life term imprisonment for killing a farmer in Sadar
upazila five years ago.

   District and Session Judge Munshi Md.Moshier Rahman pronounced the
verdict.

   The convict receiving the death penalty is: Jaminur Rahman Molla, son of
Lutfar Rahman Molla, a resident of Bhabanipur village of the upazila. The
three other convicts are Saddam Hossen Shuvo, Sahid Molla and Satter Molla.
All are residents of the same area, public prosecutor of Narail Judge Court
Md. Emdadul Islam.

  The prosecution story, in brief, is that the accused killed farmer Mofi
Sheikh on July 18, 2016 when he along with his son was returning home after
collecting stipend money from a school.

  Later, Mofi's wife Roksana Khatun filed a murder case against six persons
including Jaminur with Sadar Police Station.

  Police submitted charge sheet accusing six persons.

  After examining the record and witnesses, the judge handed down the
verdict.
