CHATTOGRAM, Oct 21, 2021 (BSS) - Chattogram district recorded ever lowest
Covid-19 positivity rate of 0.35 percent while only six fresh cases were
reported after testing 1684 samples during the last 24 hours till Thursday
morning.

  The Covid-19 situation is improving consistently during the last few
months, Civil Surgeon Dr Ilias Chowdhury told BSS.

  With the newly infected cases, the number of coronavirus (COVID-19)
patients stands at 102,142 in the district.

  "The number of cured patients from the lethal virus stood at 87,504 in the
district with the recovery of 28 more patients in last 24 hours," Dr Ilias
said, adding that the percentage of recovery rate is 85.66.

  With one new death recorded in the last 24 hours, the death toll stood
1,317 in the district.

  A total of 1,681 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at
designated hospitals here.
