RANGPUR, Oct 17, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 61,468 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in all eight districts of Rangpur division today (Sunday).
 
“Among the 61,468 vaccinated citizens, 34,423 were inoculated with Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 27,045 citizens with AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine today,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS at 6:50 pm.
 
“With the inoculation of 61,468 citizens with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the first dose recipients rose to 43,92,735 in all eight districts of the division.  
   
Among the first dose recipient 43,92,735 citizens, 12,13,037 people were vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 30,47,849 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,31,849 others with Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.
 
Meanwhile, the number of the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine recipient citizens rose to 20,54,881 with inoculation of 34,035 more people with the second dose of the jab today in the division.
 
Among the 34,035 new second dose recipient citizens, 215 were inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine and 33,820 others with Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine today,” Dr Islam said.  
 
“The total second dose recipient 20,54,881 citizens include 5,42,100 people vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 13,88,822 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,23,959 others with Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division,” Dr Islam added.
