JOYPURHAT, Sept 25, 2021 (BSS) - Law enforcers in special drives arrested

49 persons including 26 accused in different cases from various areas of the
district in the last 24-hours ending at 8am today.

   Law enforcers also seized contraband Phensidyl, Yaba tablets and Ganja
from their possession during the drives.

   Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on
various charges.

   Police are working on a zero tolerance policy to curb any crime in the
district, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Masum Ahmed Bhuiyan.

   Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending
with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources
added.

   The arrested persons were sent to jail.
