RANGPUR, Sept 22, 2021 (BSS) - A mobile court initiated by the Detective
Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) fined 'Manheart
Laboratories Unani Medicine Factory' Taka 5,000 in the metropolis on Tuesday
afternoon.

     "Executive Magistrate Dewan Asif Pele led the court conducted at Uttam
Moulavipara area under Hajirhat police station," a press release issued by
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB and Media) of RpMP Md Sajjad
Hossain said today.

     The laboratories had been running without no-objection certificates of
the Departments of Environment and Fire Service under an unhygienic
environment violating the related laws, health and hygiene rules.

     Later, the Executive Magistrate of Rangpur district administration fined
Plant In-charge of the Unani medicine laboratories Badiuzzaman Taka 5,000
under sections 18 (ka) of the Drugs Act, 1940 for the offenses.

     The court stopped production of medicines in the laboratories till its
registration and ordered to strictly abide by the related rules and
regulations in running the laboratory legally in the future.

     Under direction and supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) of
RpMP Kazi Muttaki Ibnu Minan, it's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police
Md Sajjad Hossain and other police officials participated in the drive.
