RAJSHAHI, Nov 28, 2022 (BSS)- Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has recovered loans worth around Taka 273.30 crore, including Taka 27.20 crore classified loans from 14,108 borrowers through camps held in 383 branches simultaneously on November 22 and 23.
 
Of the recovered loans, Taka 154.97 crore from Rajshahi division, while Taka 117.61 crore from Rangpur division and Taka 0.71 crore from local principal office.
 
Side by side with the loan recovery, the bank mobilized deposits valued around Taka 30.69 crore, said the RAKUB sources here today.
 
Through 383 branches, RAKUB has been operating its commercial activities in all the 16 northwest districts of the two divisions targeting the agricultural sector and all its sub-sectors, including agro-processing and industries.
 
Together with infusing dynamism into its loan recovery and deposit collection, the bank has launched online banking, Electronic Fund Transfer, A-chalan and SMS banking to supplement the government's efforts of building digital Bangladesh.
 
On March 23 last, the bank entered into the era of mobile App and internet banking aimed at bringing dynamism into its banking services.
 
With this breakthrough, clients of the bank are being benefited in many ways, including banking transactions anytime and from anywhere, bill payment of utility services and opening of new bank accounts from home.
 
As the largest development partner in the agriculture sector as well as the agro-based industrial sector of northwest Bangladesh, the bank authority launched the modern banking technology.
