European stocks drop at open, before US inflation
LONDON, Aug 10, 2022 (BSS/AFP) - European stock markets dropped at the open
Wednesday, with all eyes on US inflation data later in the day.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index fell 0.1 percent to 7,483.52 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX index retreated 0.4 percent to 13,482.21
points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.3 percent to 6,472.54.
"We're seeing plenty of apprehension ahead of the US inflation report on
Wednesday, with Asia in the red and Europe following suit," noted Craig
Erlam, senior market analyst at OANDA trading group.
