Sadhan lauds PM’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ against drug abuse

NAOGAON, Nov 21, 2019 (BSS) – Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today lauded the role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for implementing zero tolerance policy to eliminate corruption, militancy and drug abuse from the country.

“Drug is a big problem for the society now-a-days… To protect the country, the premier has stressed prevention of drugs and corruption implementing ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy as per the electoral manifesto declared before the last parliamentary polls,” he said.

The Food Minister was addressing a programme organized on the occasion of destroying drugs seized on different occasions at the Naogaon Battalion-16 parade ground of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) as the chief guest here.

He said unprecedented development has been taken place in the country for the honesty and dynamic leadership of the premier.

The minister urged all to stay away from drug abuse by waging a movement against the menace on social media saying if people show their hatred about drug abuse on Facebook and Messenger then the problem will be solved in future.

On the occasion, many narcotics including Indian Phensidyl, alcohol, liquor, marijuana, yaba and heroin, recovered by BGB, were destroyed.
