PM cordial to Ulemas: Sherif
PABNA, Sept 29, 2018 (BSS) – Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif today
said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is cordial to the Islamic scholars’
society.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was cordial to
the society of Ulemas. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is cordial to the Islamic
scholars and will be supportive towards them in future, he said.
Sherif was addressing a function acknowledging to Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina for giving the Dawra-e-Hadith (Taqmil) of Qawmi Madrasas the status of
master’s degree (Islamic Studies and Arabic).
Iswardi Municipality Mayor Abul Kalam Azad presided over the programme
held on Jamia Siddiqiya Madrasah premises here.
Referring to different development activities of the government, the land
minister said urged all to re-elect the “Boat” again in the next
parliamentary election and work together to transform the country into
developed one.
Iswardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (in-charge) Jobayer Hossain, acting
President of Iswardi unit of Awami League Nayeb Ali Bishwas, Principal
Moulana Samsuddin Bukhari, Moulana Sirajul Islam and Moulana Yousuf were
present in the function, among others.
