CJ for amendment to Children Act-2013

SYLHET, Sept 19, 2018 (BSS) – Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Mahmud Hossain today laid emphasis on amendment to the Children Act-2013 through removing its loopholes.

“Amendment to the Children Act will help dispose of the cases of juveniles properly,” he told a function at the conference room of Sylhet district and session judge court.

Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif, Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Ahmed Choudhury, among others, were present.

The Chief Justice said, “Children are future of the country… They (Children) will lead the country for advancement of the nation.”

“We have to create mass awareness to build our children as worthy citizens so that they can contribute better to development of the country,” The Chief Justice added.

He urged all to groom up the children through providing quality education to help build a prosperous Bangladesh.
