DHAKA, Sept 13, 2018 (BSS) – Railways Minister Mujibul Haque here today said that awarding scholarships to students for recognizing their merit would act to encourage the young learners to become more studious.
He expressed optimism that our students will make efforts to build themselves as good human beings and worthy citizens through proper learning and regular studies.
The minister came up with the observations at the ‘Merit Scholarship 2018′ giving ceremony at National Press Club. Dhaka Sub-Editor’s Council (DSEC) organised the function, said a press release.
Haque said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina carried out massive development activities in all sectors and that made Bangladesh a role model for development.
DSEC members’ children, who excelled in various board exams, were awarded with books, crests and financial grants. DSEC president KM Shahidul Haque presided over the programme.
