NARAYANGANJ, Nov 23, 2017 (BSS) – All preparations have been taken for the distribution of 4 lakh 76 thousands and 188 NID smart cards among eligible voters at all the 27 wards under Narayangnaj City Corporation.
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda in a simple ceremony at Narayanganj Club Ltd will inaugurate the distribution on November 28.
Narayanganj Sadar upazila election officer Abdur Rashid Miah said the distribution work would begin simultaneously at word-1 at Rakmat Ali High School, Siddhirganj, ward -2 Mizmizi Paschimpara High School , Siddhirganj and word-3 Rawsan Ara College, Sanarpar Siddhirganj.
The distribution will start from 9 am to 4 pm on November 28. The rest of NID card will be distributed in phases at all the wards under the city corporation.
None will be allowed to collect NID smart card without showing original ID card or slip, Rashid Miah said.
In case of missing of ID card or slip, the card holder must file General Diary (GD) to the respective police station, he said, adding that to collect the NID smart card she/he must deposit Taka 368 in Sonali Bank and enclose the GD copy with NID card Number and voter number.
