People will reply to falsehood of Khaleda in next polls: Nasim

JAMALPUR, Nov 11, 2017 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim yesterday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given shelter, food and medical services to the Rohingya people like a mother which was lauded worldwide.

“But BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia said we did nothing for the Rohingya. People will reply to her (Khaleda) in the next general election,” he said while laying the foundation stone of Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital building in Monirajpur area in Jamalpur municipality.

The minister said numerous development works have been implemented in all sectors including education, communication, power, agriculture across the country during the incumbent Awami League government tenure.

He expressed his hope that Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital would play an important role to produce skilled doctors and provide health services among the people in the area.

He called upon the leaders and workers to work hard to win all the five seats in the district for Sheikh Hasina in the next election.

Principal of Sheikh Hasina Medical College Dr Abdul Wakil presided over the meeting.

State Minister for Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Land Rezaul Karim Hira, District unit of AL President Advocate Mohammad Baki Billah and General Secretary Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury and Jamalpur Municipality Mayor Mirza Sakhawatul Alam Moni, addressed the function, among others.

Earlier, the minister unveiled the plaque of the foundation stone of Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital building which will be built at a cost of Taka 850 crore.
