MYMENSINGH, Nov 2, 2017 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a suspected Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) man from Trishal upazila of the district today.
The arrestee was identified as Jahangir Alam alias Srabon, 24, a student of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET).
RAB sources said Jahangir, son of Nurul Islam, hails from Sadar upazila of Chandpur district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force led by its assistant director Gautam Deb arrested him from Trishal municipality area around 12 noon. Jahangir went to Trishal to recruit new members for JMB.
RAB-14 also seized jihadi books and leaflets from his possession, RAB sources said.
