Stern action against those involved in coal scam: Shahjahan
MADARIPUR, July 28, 2018 (BSS) – Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan today
said stern action would be taken against those involved in coal
misappropriation in the Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Ltd (BCMCL).
“The government has taken a firm stance on this issue and investigation is
going on to find out the culprits. Tougher action would be taken against
those who took part in the scam,” he said.
“No one will be spared,” the minister said while talking to reporters at
his Madaripur residence.
Regarding the city corporation election in three cities, Shahjahan said,
“Elections in three City Corporations — Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barisal —
would be held in a free and fair manner and Awami League (AL) candidates
would definitely win the contest.”
He said people would vote for the AL candidates to ensure that the
development process continues.
