CHATTOGRAM, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – Chattogram district administration in a series of drives evicted over 370 different kinds of illegal establishments, basically houses, from government Kash hilly land from Biyazid Fuzdarhat CDA link road today.
These illegal establishments were removed from the government land in collaboration with the district administration and the department of environment directorate.
The eviction drive led by three executive magistrates of the district administration began at 10 am today and evicted over 370 establishments till 5 pm.
Executive Magistrate Omar Faruk said the eviction team faced resistance from locals, who are living in high-risk hills with the help of local influential people.
He said the operation would continue till all the illegal settlements are evicted.
Six executive magistrates, over 300 people including 150 members of Chattogram Metropolitan police and officials of district administration and department of environment took part in the drive.
