People-friendly land services stressed in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, June 10, 2021 (BSS)- Administrative officials at a ceremony unequivocally called for ensuring people-friendly land services after the best use of modern information communication and technologies.

Building close and cordial relations between the staff of land offices and the public in general is the precondition to make the land services pro-people.

The officials came up with the observation while inaugurating Land Service Week 2021 at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) here today.

Commissioner of Rajshahi division Dr Humayun Kabir and Additional Commissioner Dr Abdul Mannan addressed the ceremony as chief and special guests respectively with Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil in the chair.

Dr Humayun Kabir said this year’s land service week is being observed with the main objective of expanding and popularizing the digital land services emphasizing the need for establishing an effective and service-oriented land management for the sake of the public .

He urged all concerned including the field level officials and staff to deliver land-related services to the people in a hassle-free manner through ensuring accountability and transparency.

Dr Kabir also urged them to become skilled enough to eliminate all sorts of corruption through delivering services to the people adopting the digitized e-management system.

He told the meeting that the present government is very much strict against corruption and none would go unpunished if he or she found guilty in delivering land-related services.
