President mourns death of veteran FF Mohammad Ali
DHAKA, May 17, 2021 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed
profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran freedom fighter
Mohammad Ali, Kishoreganj’s Karimganj Upazila Parishad two-time former
chairman and Commander of Mujib Bahini during the War of Liberation.
In a condolence message, the head of state prayed for eternal peace
of departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Founding general secretary of the Upazila Awami League, veteran
politician Ali breathed his last around 7.30 pm today at his residence
in Batrish Zial Smarani Intersection of Kishoreganj district.
Also well-known as an accomplished footballer, Ali had been
suffering from old-aged complications as he was 81.
He left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter, a host of
relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
