RAJSHAHI, May 4, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in three separate anti-crime drives, arrested five alleged drug peddlers with 680 yaba tablets and 300 grams of heroin here last night.
According to the RAB sources, the arrested persons were identified as Rubel Hossain, 22, Atique Hassan, 26, Bulbul Hassan, 32, Kaosar Ali, 32, and Towhidul Islam, 31.
A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in the Court Station Crossing area under Kasiadanga Police Station in Rajshahi city and arrested Rubel Hossain with 630 grams of heroin and 90 yaba tablets around 9.30 am red-handed, RAB sources here said this noon.
Another RAB team arrested Atique Hassan and Bulbul Hassan with 200 yaba pills and 35 grams of heroin after conducting a raid at Mougachhi area under Charghat upazila around 8.30 pm.
During another anti-crime operation, another RAB team detained Kaosar Ali and Towhidul Islam with 29 bottles of phensidyl and 25 grams of ganja from Baneshwar Bazar area under Puthiaya Upazila in the district red-handed around 9.38 pm.
Three separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations and the arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police.
